Genealogy
The links on this page contain information on both maternal (Tilberg) and paternal (Pierson) branches of my family tree. As the names suggest, both branches are predominantly of Swedish ancestry.

I have been collecting genealogical information for most of my life, starting with a middle school assignment to "draw my family tree." Spotting my interest in genealogy, my mother (Evelyn Tilberg Pierson) helped to painstakingly gather names and dates from living family members throughout the 1970s and 1980s. I would type up blank forms for each relative to fill in, Mom would mail the forms with a handwritten letter explaining our research, and whenever we received a response, I would record and organize the information into charts. Our efforts led to the publication of two family tree books, in 1981 and 1991 (see below). Information linked to this page is drawn from those two books, and-since the early 2000s-from my personal family tree compiled in Ancestry.com.>

Ancestry.com (Current)

At last count, names and dates of over 5,600 relatives are listed in the "Kenneth Pierson Family Tree" in Ancestry.com. Information is included for both maternal and paternal lines, dating back as follows:
  • Maternal Grandfather (Tilberg) - 20 generations to the year 1385
  • Maternal Grandmother (Carlson) - 19 generations to the year 1456

  • Paternal Grandfather (Persson) -18 generations to the year 1355
  • Paternal Grandmother (Larsson) - 23 generations to the year 1235

I am happy to share the link to my family tree upon request. Email me at: kenn@kjpierson.com (And I definitely welcome any information, photographs, or other family memorabilia to add to the family tree in digital form.)
